David Rickman, M.A., LPC, LAC

As a dad in a beautifully blended family of seven kids, I understand firsthand the chaos, challenges, and rewards of navigating real-life transitions. My personal journey of healing fuels my passion for helping others live fuller, more meaningful lives. I hold a B.S. in Human Services with a concentration in Substance Abuse Counseling from MSU Denver, and a M.A. in Clinical Counseling from Denver Seminary. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) with experience in residential treatment, community-based therapy, substance abuse counseling, and private practice. I offer a safe, supportive space to help you process life’s toughest moments and move toward lasting healing.

I meet with clients in my home office in Highland’s Ranch, or online. When not doing that, you might find me on my bike, walking our dog Gryffin or meeting friends for coffee.

Lisa Rickman, M.A., LAC

I am a mother of three and stepmom of four and have experienced both the joy and pain of family life …. the pain of an abusive first marriage, the heartache of divorce, the challenge of raising seven kids and the joy of a healthy remarriage. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Ministries from Denver Seminary and am a trained domestic violence advocate who has written two books on the subject under a pen name. My passion is to see people who are struggling find hope and feel empowered. I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), and certified in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Sandplay Therapy

I meet with clients at our home office in Highland’s Ranch or online. When I’m not meeting clients, I enjoy hanging out with David, watercolor painting, cycling, reading and traveling.

Marissa Carelli-Taylor, (MS), LPCC

I am a Colorado native and a single mom of 2 teenagers. With over seven years of experience in the mental health field, I’m currently working toward my LPC. My work centers on creating a real, honest connection where growth can happen naturally. I support children, teens, and adults as they move through anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges—helping them rediscover their strength and sense of self. I’m also a Certified Trauma Professional and Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician.

I meet with clients only online. When I’m not doing that, I love to hang out with my kids, go hiking and doing crochet.

Kris Pierson, (MA), MFTC

I’m a proud father of four — two teenagers and two toddlers — who believes life is about connection and creating lasting memories. After 25 years leading large teams and developing leaders in the corporate world, I pursued my passion for counseling, earning a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with a focus on marriage and family therapy from Colorado Christian University. I now combine my leadership background with therapeutic expertise to help couples, families, and individuals grow and thrive. I believe strong relationships are foundational to personal growth and community well-being and use my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients build deeper emotional connections, heal past wounds, and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives and relationships.

Guided by my family’s motto, “love God, love people,” I prioritize family time together through outdoor adventures, golf, and shared experiences. I have an office in Parker Colorado, and also meet clients online.

I have an M.Ed. in School Counseling and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health, combining expertise in both educational and therapeutic settings. I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Sand Tray Therapy, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. I enjoy working with children and adolescents, supporting them as they develop emotional regulation, coping skills, and confidence. I also enjoy working with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, life’s transitions, and/or trauma. As a counselor, I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

I meet with clients in person in Fort Collins, CO or online. When I’m not in my counseling office, I love hiking, finding new coffee shops and reading.

Shae Waller, (MA), LPCC

I am a graduate of Colorado Christian University. I have been married for over 11 years and we have two children. My goal is to bring warmth, authenticity, and a deep understanding of life’s challenges into my work. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I integrate evidence-based approaches to help clients heal and grow in meaningful ways. My young clients call me their “big sister therapist,” and I work to validate their feelings while lovingly challenging them to promote genuine healing and personal growth. I work with clients of all ages and specialize in supporting individuals with complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and trauma recovery. I am also passionate about assisting first responders and those navigating the complexities of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), in both childhood and adulthood, helping them rediscover balance, resilience, and hope.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and camping in the Colorado outdoors.

I see clients both online and in my office in Castle Rock, Colorado.

I believe that healing begins in safe, honest spaces—and my goal is to create one for every client I work with. I support individuals (16+) and couples who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—helping them find clarity, connection, and new ways forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, and experiential. I use Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and solution-focused methods to help clients process difficult experiences and move toward meaningful change. I am also trained in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. For those who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling.

Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, board games and walking my dog while enjoying nature. I meet with clients in person in Centennial, or online.
